We are pleased to announce that as of 07/21/2011, the programs of MCS, Ltd. have joined and are now operating under the auspices of Come Clean, a Washington nonprofit organization.

 

As some of you know, Come Clean is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt mentoring/treatment support agency. One of its main missions is to inspire young people by providing educational and recreational activities for underprivileged youth struggling with the challenges of drug and alcohol addiction.

 

Originally Come Clean supported all of the events for MCS, Ltd and raised funds to provided additional support for youth in our programs.  As each program continued to grow and thrive, it made sense to combine their missions and operations under one roof.  In that spirit and in order to maximize our ability to serve the community we chose the nonprofit model. 　

 

All services, staff, and expectations will remain exactly the same. Our office location will remain the same, as will our contact information. The only difference that will be noticed is that Come Clean is our now our main name and MCS is a program offering. 

 

Our main focus will continue to include alcohol & drug treatment, alcohol & drug information, community outreach, and now we will also focus on reducing Disproportionate Minority Contact(DMC). We remain one of a small hand full of minority owned agenies that work directly in the neighborhoods most affected by youth violence and drug/alcohol abuse.

 

We are currently operating on donations to support our summer programs. We will be launching a fundraising campaign in the coming weeks to increase our treatment and community footprint. We hope that you will consider supporting our work.
